I’m Hannah, a 33-year-old writer, designer and truth seeker originally from England. This blog was born of my dream to live a life less ordinary, one filled with honesty, freedom, creativity, adventure and excitement.
My journey began back in 2010, when I finally made the decision to stop living in fear. I had just turned 30, broken up with the love of my life, and was heavily in debt. Having hit rock bottom, and with nowhere else to turn for help but within, I finally started to listen to that little voice inside of me that knew I wanted more.
I needed to re-evaluate things and get my shit together. I was single, broke and miserable; I was a woman with a mission. Over the next 18 months I knuckled down, worked 80-100 hours a week at four jobs (designer, babysitter, waitress, shop assistant), paid off £15,000 debt ($24K USD), built savings of the same amount, got my relationship back on track, rediscovered my creative passions, and began living the life I had always dreamt of.
I sold everything I owned, quit all of my jobs, and bought a one-way ticket to India.
Right now I am travelling the world, boyfriend in tow, for an indefinite period of time. I don’t know how long this journey will continue, but I do know that we are both committed to making the most of the experience for as long as our desire for this lifestyle lasts. Since leaving the UK in September 2012 we have also established a successful freelance graphic and web design business, opening up even more opportunities for the future. Now our days are filled with adventure and art, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Further Bound is like our mantra. It’s how my partner Lee described us as we began preparing for our life of travel and it has a nice ring to it. So that’s where you’ll find us, exploring, creating, and always headed further.
